Sigman Law Office, P.C. is general practice law firm located in Wakefield, MA, dedicated to serving clients located in the North Shore, Greater Boston, and Metro West areas.  It was founded by Eric and Lisa Sigman with one goal in mind – to be an accessible and full service firm for our clients.  This means not only providing  prompt service and superior legal assistance at a competitive price, but also offering legal services in a variety of practice areas, which give the client a creative and complete solution to their legal problems, both before and after they arise.   We represent clients in the following areas of law: Residential & Commercial Real Estate, Estate Planning, Small Business Representation, Franchising, Condominium Law and Conversions, and representation of Condominium Associations. 

Eric M. Sigman, Esquire – President

Attorney Eric Sigman handles the Real Estate, Business Entity Formation and Condominium Areas of the practices.

 Attorney Sigman earned his Juris Doctor at Suffolk University Law School focusing on Real Estate Law and Estate Planning.  He was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Student Group and competed in the Thomas C. Clark Competition.  He was part of a student organized research group, which researched, analyzed and published a white paper distributed to the Massachusetts House of Representatives and Senate regarding the House Resolution to ban gay marriage, under the direction of Senator Jack Hart.   He also worked as a clerk at a Litigation and Real Estate Firm in Beverly, MA.

 Eric earned his B.S. in Psychology, graduating from the University of Vermont, with a minor in History.  While at UVM he was a member of three academic honor societies: Phi Beta Kappa, Psi Chi, and Phi Alpha Theta.  After graduating from college, Eric worked as a paralegal at the Law Office of David Barber, before attending law school.

Attorney Sigman has continued his legal education, staying abreast of trends and changes in real estate and estate planning law through participation in MCLE and NBI courses throughout the year.  He is an active member of the Revolutionaries Chapter of BNI, the secretary of the Boston Business Builders, and is the Goal Keeper coach for the UMASS Lowell Women’s Soccer team. 

  

Lisa C. Sigman, Esquire – Vice President

Attorney Lisa Sigman handles the Franchise Law, Contracts and Trademark areas of the practice.

Attorney Sigman graduated Cum Laude from Suffolk University Law School, and with Honors in the Health and Biomedical Concentration.  While at Suffolk, Lisa was an honor journal editor for the Journal of High Technology Law, and was a founding editor of the Journal of Health and Biomedical Law.  During her studies at Suffolk, she  concentrated on Intellectual Property Law and Health Law.  She also worked as a clerk at Lubin and Meyer, P.C., a prominent litigation firm in Boston, and volunteered at the Greater Boston Legal Services as part of the Battered Women’s Clinical Program.  Following law school, she worked as a clerk for the Law Offices of J.D. Geraigery, P.C., an Intellectual Property firm located in Cambridge, MA.

 Lisa earned  her B.S. in Radiologic Technology at Fairleigh Dickinson University, in Madison, NJ, where she attended as a Presidential Scholar.  While at FDU, Lisa was the founding Vice President of the Pan Hellenic Council.  After college, she worked locally as an X-ray and MRI technologist , before and while attending law school.

Lisa continues her legal education through participation in MCLE courses throughout the year and is an active member of the New England Franchise Association.
